Hypnosis for Pain Relief

Hypnosis is an effective tool for pain relief. The reason is simple. It changes your awareness and teaches you how to overcome the pain by increasing the level of comfort you feel. Understand, a hypnosis session is not a substitute for medical intervention. Pain is a resource of the body that should be listened to, as it can alert us to medical needs that require attention. But for those already under the care of a physician or those enduring chronic pain, learning the skills of hypnosis is an excellent way to see pain from a new perspective. By using hypnosis, you can remove the hurt from the pain and create an awareness that can help you to become more mindful of life outside of pain.

It’s safe, natural, and effective.

A published article in the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis states:

The case examples demonstrate how the focused suggestion with somatic anchoring technique is used with both acute and chronic pain conditions when the use of long-term medication has been relatively ineffective.

Donatone, B. (2013). Focused Suggestion With Somatic Anchoring Technique: Rapid Self-Hypnosis for Pain Management. American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, 55(4), 325-342. doi:10.1080/00029157.2012.688896

Another article states:

Pain control: The results also indicated that hypnotic suggestion was equally effective in reducing both clinical and experimental pain. The overall results suggest broader application of hypnoanalgesic techniques with pain patients.

Montgomery, G. H., Duhamel, K. N., & Redd, W. H. (2000). A meta-analysis of hypnotically induced analgesia: How effective is hypnosis? International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, 48(2), 138-153. doi:10.1080/00207140008410045

All hypnosis is really self- hypnosis and there is not a right way or a wrong way for you to experience this learning process. You don’t even have to try to be hypnotized. After all, you already know how to experience hypnosis if you can breathe and rest. In a state of naturally induced relaxation, the mind and body can work together to heal, mend, overcome, learn, create, and experience something wonderful.

If you would like to experience a wonderful new learning experience, to learn how to easily and effortlessly relax and get comfortable, I can teach you.

I can show you methods of taking physical control over your body and how to use the power of visualization to tap into your powerful, creative unconscious mind and reprogram it for more than just pain control.

These tools can be used at any time and they have tremendous applications for managing many aspects of your life.
